In the image above right I show a rough comparison of the most-requested shapes I offer. The Opus shape is of my own design, combining a narrow upper bout and waist with the lower bout approximately the width of an OM and the length nearly that of a dreadnaught. The result is a body that feels much smaller than its size, providing an extremely comfortable guitar, yet has the full, rich, and balanced tone reminiscent of an OM.

Upon your decision to have me build a custom guitar for you, we'll talk at length about what you’d tone, the body style of the guitar, materials to be used, options, trim details, and the like. Before materials are purchased I ask for a $500 refundable deposit when an order is placed. An additional deposit may be requested for premium woods. The deposit is applied to the final balance and will secure pricing and your place in my schedule. The balance plus shipping and insurance will be due when the guitar is completed. I will then ship your guitar and its case in a padded guitar shipping box by USPS overnight insured.

If you're dissatisfied with the instrument in any way, contact me within 72 hours of its arrival. We can discuss arrangements for its return to alleviate the problem or a refund minus shipping costs, given upon the sale of the returned guitar. Options or design decisions that make the instrument difficult to sell, such as personalized inlays, may incur deductions in the refund amount.

My guitars come with a warranty to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship for as long as I am a practicing luthier. However, the warranty does not cover wear from normal use, damage, abuse, or exposure to extremes of temperature or humidity.

Please note: While I try to post anticipated changes to my prices, they may change without notice. In either case though, the new prices will be posted here on the site.
